DGB named Best South African Producer at Mundus Vini Spring Tasting

DGB, one of South Africa’s leading premium wine producer, has just been named Best South African Producer for the fourth consecutive year at the prestigious Mundus Vini Spring Tasting, which was announced at Prowein on 16th March 2025.

This historic win marks the first time any producer has secured this accolade four years in a row, underscoring DGB's unwavering commitment to excellence in winemaking. Robert Joseph, a global wine authority who is a judge and board Member of Mundus Vini says “To win the top South African Producer for four consecutive years is an outstanding achievement”.

DGB's exceptional performance at this year's competition is highlighted by an impressive haul of 31 Gold Medals and 27 Silver Medals across its diverse portfolio of wineries. The wineries responsible for all of the accolades include Boschendal, Backsberg, Fryers Cove, Old Road Wine Co, Bellingham, Franschhoek Cellar, Douglas Green, and Vineyard Friends.

This achievement reflects the outstanding quality and versatility of DGB's wines, spanning a wide range of styles, varieties, and price points.
